Moreover, we focus on long-term active participation in the portfolio companies together with our partners in order to create value. Major value drivers are related to company growth (organic and through acquisitions), strengthening the management team, implementing operational improvements, development of new products and entering new markets. We also use specific investment vehicles in assets such as forestry. Kaeté Investimentos is a signatory of the Principles for Responsible Investment. We are in the investment phase of our Amazon focused fund that has the support and investment of BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development) and other institutional and private investors, totaling R$ 100 million of committed capital. The Amazon Fund focuses on investing in companies that contribute to the sustainable development of the Amazon region (including Mato Grosso and part of Maranhão) and are part of the following sectors: agribusiness (regional fruits, palm oil, fiber, rubber, resins); industries processing food products, fibers, cosmetics, oils / essences, textiles, and rubber; aquaculture; timber and non-timber forest products, ecotourism, environmental services, recycling and waste treatment; renewable energy and logistics/infrastructure.
