Caxton Youth Organisation
www.caxtonyouth.orgEstablished in 1948, Caxton Youth Organisation is a specialist youth club for learning disabled and autistic young people in Westminster aged 11 to 25. We believe that all young people should be able to lead independent, meaningful, happy and healthy lives. Our education-based programmes and activities empower disabled young people to build independence, nurture interests and passions, and be themselves. Our activities are shaped by the needs, interests and aspirations of the young people we support. We operate out of two locations – Caxton Youth Club, in Westminster, and Midge Island, our outdoor base in Surrey where we offer residential trips to young people. We provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive space in the heart of the community where young people can be themselves. We provide a wide range of opportunities for young people to participate in sports, music, dance, drama and art. This is in addition to person-centred 1:1 support and group workshops delivered by our youth work team focusing on supporting young people’s mental health, independence, and employment aspirations.
