The Hellenic Competition Commission is the authority responsible for the enforcement of Greek law 703/1977, "On the Control of Monopolies and Oligopolies, and on the Protection of free Competition". Is competent to enforce the provisions of articles 81 and 82 of the EC Treaty. Co-operates closely with the European Commission and the competition authorities of the other member states of the European Union in order to enforce the Community competition rules. It acts as an independent authority and has administrative and financial autonomy.
