The Cyprus Organisation for Standardisation (CYS) is the national Standards body of Cyprus. CYS is a full member of the European Standards Organisation (ESO’s – CEN, CENELEC, ETSI) as well as the International Standards Organisation ISO and IEC. Through its active participation in the European and international Standardisation, CYS promotes the national interest through the issuing and application of standards. The strategic objectives of CYS are: - Active involvement in the European and International standardization systems - Promotion and implementation of European and International standards among Cypriot organizations and businesses so as to enhance their competitiveness, the safeguarding consumer’s, health and safety and the protection of environment. A further strategic objective is the strengthening of the reputation and image of CYS as the most influential quality infrastructure in Cyprus.
