Escapism is a thrilling team-based, live action "escape room" experience opening in Southington, CT in August 2018. Players participate in a one hour event where they must work together as a team to solve a series of puzzles and challenges. Game operators watch each group's progress and provide hints to help prevent teams from getting stuck. Puzzles can take a number of different forms - from figuring out clues to solve the code for a lock to placing objects in the correct places to unlock hidden compartments. Each puzzle reveals additional clues or items to be used in solving the next set of puzzles and advancing to the finale. Each room has a mix of challenges that should provide something for everyone to participate in - number, word, logic, and physical puzzles to be solved. Each room will provide a highly immersive environment where players will embark on an hour long exploration of what feels like another world, place or time. The goal for each of the rooms is to allow players to remain in these alternate worlds we've created for the entirety of the game. This means that, as much as possible, the puzzles, the clues, the decorations all feel like they belong in the place and time that we've centered each experience around. Escapism will offer a variety of themed rooms to experience and will be adding new themed rooms over time.
