axes4 GmbH is a Swiss IT company with headquarters in Zurich, which has specialized entirely in digital accessibility with a focus on documents. We offer software and services that make it easy for you to keep an eye on PDF accessibility, to provide it or to implement it yourself efficiently and sustainably. The core products and services include axesWord (former: axesPDF for Word), a Word add-in for creating PDF / UA documents, axesPDF (former: axesPDF QuickFix), a professional checking and correction tool, axesSense, a solution for monitoring large quantities of PDF files. Files, a service for creating accessible PDF files and templates, as well as advice and training on PDF accessibility for document creators, organizations and developers. axes4 is a member of the PDF Association and a member of the PDF/UA Competence Center. We are involved in all relevant standardization working groups for the further development of PDF accessibility and are significantly involved in the working group for the revision of PDF techniques for the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.1. We are a founding member of the German-speaking chapter of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP DACH) because we want to advance the professionalization of digital accessibility, promote global networking and anchor our topic more firmly in the minds of business, politics and society.
