The Asia Metaverse Society is a Singapore-based not-for-profit that promotes public awareness and education of the benefits and opportunities of Web3 and metaverse-related technologies, startups and investment, while facilitating interaction and collaboration among its regional and global membership. It will seek to ensure that the interests of Asia are well-represented and reflected in the next phase of the digital and technological revolution. The Society evolved from the non-profit AsiaVR Association formed in 2015, and reflects a broader, growing interest and adoption of Web3-related technologies, including virtually enhanced, persistent environments often called ‘metaverses’ (eg. Roblox), augmented reality applications, Blockchain-enabled payment solutions, and token-based digital assets (aka NFTs). The Asia Metaverse Society has been established with the mindset of promoting inclusivity, collaboration, dialogue and debate among all those who will have an expected role in the development of the metaverse and Web3-related technologies, including developers, creatives, product managers, marketers, commercial teams, investors, CEOs, startups founders, educators and researchers alike.
