Asterial is an early stage start-up in the field of technology-enabled platforms and solutions. Our goal is to simplify modern day problems with the help of technology. We believe technology is a strong enabler in solving time and cost-intensive activities in several walks of lives including HR, learning and development, finance, healthcare to name a few. Our flagship product, JobPin aims to simplify hiring and skilling of the large, young, and ambitious Blue and Grey Collared workforce in India and emerging geographies. While this workforce is in excess of 450M, employability and access to relevant jobs is an unresolved problem to this aspiring population. The hiring and skilling processes are still primitive, manual, ad hoc and unorganized. There are times this workforce falls short of the necessary employability skills and job-specific training to be productive. This leads to an extremely high level of disengagement and productivity in work eventually heading towards attrition. On the other hand, employers, despite having several job openings, have to settle with untrained and mostly unmatched talent pool usually made available through referrals and unorganized staffing agencies. Furthermore, they are affected immensely by high attrition rates. JobPin aims to become an employee-employer-trainer online ecosystem to address the needs of blue-collar workforce profiling, skilling, and hiring. Key drivers to this business model are deep smartphones and internet penetration; which were not available earlier for this population.
