The Departamento Municipal de Eletricidade de Poços de Caldas (DME-PC) is the electricity distributor of Pocos de Caldas, located in the south of Minas Gerais state, Brazil. Operating since 1955, the ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction and quality of services always directs the actions of the DME. The national example in the construction of Small Hydro Power (SHP), DME targeting its actions on sustainable models of energy, since the environmental impacts are reduced in these models. Following this model, several actions are developed for the preservation of nature and the environment where the developments of the DME is located. It adds to the concern for sustainability projects that ensure the quality of life and energy in Pocos de Caldas: 5 power plants, 3 dams and 2 substations.
