FERNWEH: (German "feirn-veyh") English pronunciation "fern-way"; ( n ) wanderlust, a strong desire to travel, a longing for far-off places Following their dream to create spirits of adventure and the love for American bourbon whiskey heritage, the founders of Fernweh Distilling Co. sought to begin their own whiskey-making legacy and started the first distillery in Hermann, Missouri in 2016. After the complete remodel and renovation of the place they would call the home of Fernweh Distilling Co. on 4 Schiller Street, Hermann, Missouri, they opened the doors to the public in August 2017. We're a family-owned and operated small-batch craft distillery in the heart of historic downtown Hermann. Nestled in on the Missouri riverfront in our restored and renovated 1867 building, we follow our passion to produce hand-made, Missouri craft spirits. We also house a full bar and restaurant serving artisan cocktails and delicious dishes, and a luxury private event venue - The Loft - in our second story.
