Bitonic is the largest and oldest bitcoin broker in The Netherlands. Bitonic was founded in May 2012. Bitonic has since grown to 50+ employees and sold over 435 000 bitcoins. Bitonic's main service (bitonic.nl) is offering instant bitcoin purchases through iDEAL and Bancontact, and bitcoin sales through SEPA transfers. Bitonic also runs BL3P (bl3p.eu), the only bitcoin exchange platform in the Netherlands. BL3P was launched in April 2016 and has been live in Europe since December 2016. BL3P is available in all European countries and holds Dutch bank accounts to process EUR transactions. Bitonic provides a merchant solution which allows not-for-profit organisations to accept bitcoin donations free of charge.
