Internal Drainage Boards (IDBs) are an integral part of managing flood risk and land drainage within areas of special drainage need in England and Wales and undertake works to manage water levels and reduce flood risk to people and property in their local areas. The Consortium has a reputation for delivering high quality services and innovative approaches to water management challenges, and looks after 2,400 km of watercourse and 94 pumping stations protecting an area of 147,665 hectares.
