Two best friends from high school, working as valets at a Seattle country club, seized on an idea to clean the cars they were parking while their owners attended board meetings or enjoyed a relaxing meal. Mr. Detail's Mike Rafael and Tom Shearer opened their first Mr. Detail shop in a parking garage in downtown Seattle, while also offering mobile detailing services to the Seattle metro area. Since then, Mr. Detail has grown to three parking garage locations in the heart of Seattle, and now the detailing duo has opened their first free-standing suburban Mr. Detail Auto Salon at 1135 NW 46th Street in Ballard, WA.
