The Gender Park is an initiative under the Department of Women & Child Development, Government of Kerala. It aims to pioneer gender equity and empowerment in the state. Headquartered in Thiruvananthapuram, with its main campus set at Kozhikode, The Gender Park is a platform that acts as a gender convergence hub for research, policy analysis, advocacy and other initiatives. Kick-started in 2013, The Gender Park officially found its standing under the Department of Social Justice in 2015. As a part of our vision to encourage research, education and policy, our 24-acre campus at Kozhikode is being developed into a Centre of Excellence in the realm of gender justice. The Gender Park is the first space of its kind in the world and aims to play a key role in amplifying conversations surrounding gender disparities and arriving at inclusive solutions through a participatory approach.
