Deep Creek 2014 serves as the host organization to USA Canoe & Kayak and the International Canoe Federation to produce and execute the 2014 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships at the Adventure Sports Center International in McHenry MD in September 2014. Deep Creek 2014's secondary mission is to craft a business plan and strategy for driving the continual development of adventure sports & outdoor recreation as a hallmark of Garrett County, MD. We will do this by developing ongoing legacy events that will continue to foster economic development and drive tourism. Our vision: Deep Creek 2014 and the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships will be the launch pad for establishing Garrett County as the Eastern U.S. epicenter & hub of adventure sports and outdoor recreation resulting in economic growth and prosperity for the community and the region.
