Beanfolk

www.beanfolk.com

At Beanfolk our heritage is rooted in Papua New Guinea, a raw and untouched country just to the east of Indonesia. We have been selling coffee online from PNG for over 25 years and have worked closely with only the most reputable plantation within PNG. Our aim is to put PNG and other exotic regions on the map while simultaneously allowing everyone access to one of the best yet unknown coffees to the world. We partner with the only the best in the specialty coffee to educate further generations about specialty coffee. We are UTZ Kapeh Certified. All the coffee on our plantation grows under a green canopy of a big variety of trees that provide shade to them. This helps to reduce the growth of unwanted weeds that would otherwise use up valuable nutrients in the ground. One of the shade trees is called Yar Tree. They drop their needles onto the ground, and these help fix nitrogen naturally back into the soil as a fertilizer. We also have fruit trees and lots of native trees to provide shade to the plantation. You also have to lookout for little and big spiders and other interesting insects that make the trees their home all year round.
