American Petroleum Partners was founded in 2014. Funds affiliated with Apollo Global Management formed a strategic partnership with the company in 2015. APP amassed close to 35,000 acres in the areas of PA, WV, and OH. The company drilled first multi well pad in Utica formation with 100% success and built its own gas gathering system to sell the gas to Energy transfer’s Rover pipeline. In September'2020, The company changed its name to "High Road Resources". The operating company is developing Utica and Marcellus Shale in West Virginia, United States.
