Natihub
www.natihub.co.zaDelivering tailored Entertainment listings to websites across South Africa. Funded in part by a Presidential grant in the wake of the global pandemic, the idea of the Natihub is a simple one: to reinvigorate the devastated Tourism and Arts economies. One of the fundamental steps in this process is to improve the marketing of venues and experiences. The Natihub is effectively a loudhailer for all Arts and Tourism practitioners, however small. Initial funding and all planning has been by the team behind the respected platforms What’s on in Cape Town and What’s on in Joburg. Not to be confused with a website, the Natihub’s mission is to stream relevant and up-to-date content to any Client platform with a ‘What’s On’ section, whether that platform is an app for a national newspaper or a website for a rural guest house. This first phase will focus on established Arts & Tourism offerings across South Africa, from inner city to rural outpost. Selection will be based on places and offerings that show long term commitment and ‘pandemic proofing’ (i.e. physical protocols in place and/or live-streaming options such as ‘armchair tours’). Thereafter, registered Users can easily upload new events and offerings at any time. Once approved by the Admin team, those events / offerings will be streamed to any relevant Client platform. The Users can access their own posts at any time, in order to update their lockdown status, or change an image / prices / opening times etc. Costs to be involved have been kept deliberately affordable, and will fund our training programme for young South Africans to hone their skills in writing, the Arts, PR, branding, digital media etc. Together with the Natihub we can do more to promote Arts & Tourism in South Africa.
