Steamtech is an experienced and innovative company providing Petrochemical plant decontamination and degassing, temporary steam boiler hire and other specialist services for all Industry. Steamtech’s foundations date back to the 1970s when the company offered boiler hire and industrial steam cleaning services. Managing Director Graeme Meek took over as owner in 1994 and directed the company’s focus towards the oil, gas and chemical industries. Steamtech’s specialist service to the energy industry began in 1999 when the company was contracted to decontaminate Waihapa Production Station in Taranaki. Since then, the company’s focus in this sector has grown rapidly with regular work in New Zealand and Australia. Although most of our decontamination work is for the energy industry, we regularly carry out work in other sectors for example, the food industry where we supply back up steam for plant while servicing of in house steam plant is carried out. We have built a reputation for unrivalled service through two principals: 1. Continuous investment in quality resources and staff recruitment, and 2. Specific industry-related training, including safety and security procedures set well above the already high requirements of our clients While most of our work is NZ based, our specialist services and knowledge mean we also operate in the global Oil&Gas industry.
