Flexens was originally created as the result of an extensive research program and the cooperation of some of the leading energy sector stakeholders in Northern Europe. The company was created in order to capture the rapidly increasing market opportunities linked to the renewable energy revolution and the need for replacing fossil fuels. The large scale rollout and integration of variable renewable energy sources is one of the largest challenges facing the energy industry. It requires new solutions, implementation of new technologies and multi-technology system integration. Flexens was created with the mission of becoming a market-leading company in this rapidly growing renewable energy sector. Today, we have come a long way in making our vision a reality. We have acquired a significant part of the core competencies needed in order to fulfil our mission of creating, developing and implementing scalable, integrated and affordable self-sustained energy systems based on a 100 % renewable energy mix. Flexens has offices in Helsinki and Mariehamn and our CEO Bernt Schalin currently manages a team of highly skilled professionals.
