The Fairy Wren Movement (FWM) was established in early 2021 to support young people facing eating disorders and other mental health conditions through tackling stigma and enacting meaningful change. This came as a result of two young people drawing on their own lived experience and understanding of eating disorders who wanted to help make a positive impact in the lives of Australians. It was found that within Australia there wasn't an organisation which solely catered for and supported young people facing eating disorders and from there 'Fairy Wren' was born.
