StandUp for Kids - Silicon Valley was launched in 2008 with our mentoring program and in 2013 we opened our Outreach Center, The Village, and launched our Street Outreach program. We also offer our THRIVE and LGBTQ+ Affirm programs. THRIVE refers to the services that prepare homeless and at-risk youth who serve time to reenter society and build successful futures. Our LGBTQ+ Affirm program offers emotional support and encouragement to assist the homeless LGBTQ youth (12-24) in Silicon Valley with the resources available in our community. We do all of this with our strong volunteer group, our supportive community and through individual’s caring enough to make a difference.
