/ WHAT WE DO Est. in 2016, Stranded Oak Press is an independent publisher of poetry chapbooks by Pittsburgh poets. / WHO WE ARE We're a small team of published writers with professional digital marketing, copy-editing, and design experience. We'll work with you to develop an artful product and we'll get the word out about your good, hard work. We select 1-2 manuscripts for publication each year. We're looking for luminous, sonic, narrative-conscious, and cohesive manuscripts. Simultaneous/multiple subs welcome. Authors are compensated with 1/5 of the print run at this time. / RE: INCLUSIVITY Our team includes queer and disabled women. We actively engage in conversations across communities on how to approach accessibility and diversity in deliberate ways, from the submission process to creating safe public spaces. A few things you can expect from us: no reading fees, live-streamed events, free audio poems for download, discounted e-books, and zero-tolerance re: abuse. / WHAT'S A PITTBURGH POET? Pittsburgh-born, Pittsburgh-raised, or Pittsburgh-based. We ask that you be available for a local launch party. We like connecting local poets to local venues to local artists to other local poets to Pittsburghers.
