www.ccsu.eduThe Communication Department at CCSU prides itself on teaching classes in engaging and exciting ways that allow students to practically apply the theories and skills being learned. Communication students at CCSU have the opportunity to major in either Strategic Communication or Media Studies. Strategic Communication majors can concentrate in either Public Relations or Organizational Communication. Media Studies majors can concentrate in Mutlimedia Production and Distribution, Digital Filmmaking and TV Production, or Media Analysis. We have an active internship and mentoring program that connects selected students with working professionals in the fields of public relations, organizational communication, television and film. Our best students can join Lambda Pi Eta, a Communication Honors Society. Students work with actual clients in a number of our advanced courses, producing web and video/film content, designing brochures and planning events. Our graduate M.S. in Communication program is also a strong mixture of theory, research and application, as we prepare our graduates for professional careers in public relations and organizational communication.
