missingrecords began in 1996 as a vinyl only record label in Seattle, WA and expanded onto the internet in 1999. The label promotes a variety of independent artists including Grand Hallway, Daniel G. Harmann & the Clouds. The label is also a forum for owner Michael Compton to release his own solo materiel and albums from his bands Star Parts, Things of that Nature, Eternal 13 and seven ten split. The site has recently added a nifty blog feature and digital downloads. The company motto "it's about love" refers to the owner Michael Compton's great love of music and his passion to create music and support emerging artists around the world.
