The Montgomery County Police Department has more than 1,300 sworn officers assisted by 600 support personnel that provide full service to large suburban county with a population of over 1 million people. We are located just north of Washington DC. The Mission of the Montgomery County Department of Police is to safeguard life and property, preserve the peace, prevent and detect crime, enforce the law, and protect the rights of all citizens. We are committed to working in partnership with the community to identify and resolve issues that impact public safety.
