Rachael Lonergan was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in 2008, beginning many months of treatment. At the same time, her sister was in treatment for a rare sarcoma. Going through this time and observing how difficult it was to accept and manage help led her to create CanDo. The original CanDo app was launched in 2017 in partnership with the Garvan Foundation. “When someone asks ‘What can I do to help?’ it can sometimes feel easier to decline the offer. CanDo is about taking those freely given offers of assistance, and turning them into meaningful support when our friends and family need it most.” The new CanDo platform delivers more value to partners so they can: - Learn more about the users of the platform - Segment delivery of content - Create a branded presence Most importantly, the CanDo platform allows our customers to get started, and build a community of care in a fraction of the time, and paying a fraction of the cost, of doing it themselves. In this way, we aim to help more people, across many conditions, receive the care, attention, content and feedback they need, to make life better.
