Duraziv (a company of Saint-Gobain) is producing building materials and paints. The factory, a very modern facility for production of adhesives and dry-mixed mortars (plasters, grouts, self-levelling compounds, thermoinsulation products), whith a maximum capacity of 300,000 tones/year, was built during 2007-2008 in a location very close to Bucharest. The company produces also metallic profiles for mounting plaster-boards, activity that contributes with 40% to the company's turnover. Duraziv is the only Romanian producer including an additive based on rubber (registered as Kautchouc) in the compozition of adhesives and mortars. This brings around 50% more adherence to the final product and an increase in workability of around 20%.
