Rowan County United Way was chartered in 1956. For more than 60 years, the organization has been committed to the mission of creating lasting, positive change in the community. The United Way plays a critical role in serving more than 70,000 residents daily, assisting them during times of crisis and empowering them to live successful lives. We are committed to the mission of connecting people and resources to build a stronger community. We accomplish this goal by funding health and human services programs, participating in community development initiatives, and collaborating with other organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for our citizens.
