Just Psychology CIC
www.justpsychology.co.ukJust Psychology is a multidisciplinary group of professionals providing services to address the psychological and mental health needs of children, adults and families, with particular emphasis on cultural diversity, cultural competence and social justice. Our work focuses primarily on Black and minority ethnic (BME) children, young people and adults living in the North West of England. Some services such as training and consultation are provided at a national level. We are the first service provider to introduce 'Cultural Consultants' to act as a bridge between BME service users and professionals, to improve understanding and communication and ensure that professionals can work effectively with users of their service and that service users feel understood and can engage. Our other services include: direct therapeutic interventions (with children, families and parents), capacity building within statutory and third sector agencies (through training, supervision, consultation, and joint working), prevention and early intervention at a community level (including Family Group Conferences), and legal work with children and parents.
