Rejections reduced substantially by controlling decarburisation & preventing scale pits on billets during hot rolling and hot forging 3. Zero scaling achieved during heat treatment and re-heat treatment of forgings 4. Shot blasting, grinding of hot rolled & hot forging products reduced by 50% in reputed hot rolling and hot forging units 5. Successfully developed protective coatings for titanium and alloy steels hot forging 6. 10% fuel saving and 70% increase in refractory lining life achieved in billet re-heating and heat treatment furnaces 7. Up to 80% increase in forging die life achieved through indigenously manufactured forging die lubricants 8. Zero pollution achieved due to switchover from oil based lubricant to SPS make water soluble graphiteless lubricant 9. Selective gas & plasma ion nitriding coatings for dies developed
