The Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society (VAFCS) is a charitable organization providing programs in health, welfare, social services, culture, education, recreation, human rights and equality for all Indigenous people. The Friendship Centre emphasizes the philosophies and values of varied Indigenous cultures and traditions. With over 50 years of providing essential services to the urban Indigenous community, VAFCS has helped families, youth, adults, elders and children maintain their cultural ties and values. VAFCS has also helped Indigenous people and families to access education, housing needs, and support. The Friendship Centre strives to provide holistic and cultural services to all of its community members.
