Established in 2002, Metamora Martial Arts teaches karate and self-defense to students of all ages. Specifically, we uphold the traditions of Okinawan Shuri-ryu karate as brought to America by Master Robert Trias. The program is nationally recognized and was inducted into the 2008 Black Belt Hall of Fame as the Best Children's Program and Best Humanitarian Act for our Relay for Life Break-a-thon. The program's director, Adam Bockler, has been practicing martial arts since 2003. He is a second-degree black belt in karate and has experience in tai chi chuan, Hsing-i chuan, judo, tae kwon do and Extreme Martial Arts (XMA).
