The Canberra Institute of Technology Student Association Incorporated is the official student organisation and a provider of non-academic services on campus for students at CIT. CITSA is a not for profit organisation and provides commercial and non-commercial services on campus. CITSA operates Bookshops, Canteens, Cafes and Office Shopfronts for the benefit of students. CITSA Council is a representative student body comprised of 9 annually elected students, 1 CIT appointed staff member and 1 CITSA staff member. CITSA Council meets regularly to discuss campus issues relevant to students.
