Washington, DC is in the midst of an HIV epidemic. One Tent Health is a youth-driven nonprofit that partners with community hubs like local grocery stores and laundromats in Washington, DC's highest-risk neighborhoods. We pop up with a canvas tent, passionate student volunteers, and provide free HIV screening & Immediate PrEP Initiation where it's needed most. It's simple: We take what people need, and bring it to where they are. And it's working. Our mission is to save and extend lives. We minimize the stress and complexity of the path from unknown HIV status to managed care for all individuals by using a community centered, low cost approach.
