SK PRIMACOR EUROPE S.L., is a Spanish Company belonging to the SK Geo Centric Co., Ltd., Group which manufactures and sells chemical products in South Korea and internationally. The group offers olefins, including ethylene, propylene, butadiene, methyl tert-butyl ether, and butylene; and aromatics, such as benzene, toluene, mixed xylene, para xylene, and styrene monomer that serve as raw materials for commodities, construction, appliance, and textiles. The company was founded in 1962 and is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. In 1972, SK Geo Centric built a naphtha cracking facility capable of 100,000 tons a year the first of its size in Korea, laying the groundwork for the nation's development in the petrochemical industry. Since then, SK Geo Centric has been supplying a wide range of raw and supplementary materials that the customers and markets need. Through continuous facility investment, R&D and global business expansion, SK Geo Centric is maintaining its position as the nation's leader in the petrochemical industry. In February 2017 SK Geo Centric reached an agreement to acquire the global Ethylene Acrylic Acid (EAA) copolymers and ionomers business from Dow Chemical Company, including the factory based in Tarragona and the intellectual property and product trademarks associated (PRIMACOR™). To manage the business from Spain, the group decided to set up a local limited liability company: SK PRIMACOR EUROPE S.L.U., which was successfully and legally established that summer and began its operations on September 1, 2017.
