arts + crafts research Studio (acrStudio) is a multi-disciplinary atelier based in Brooklyn, New York. We are artisans with a common interest in making things that explore social, political, cultural and aesthetic systems through art and craft. Our projects assert new ways to explore material, form and content. We cultivate experimentation guided by engagement with the world and collaboration with our peers. We give shape to the dialogue between traditions of hand-craftsmanship and the aesthetics of digital modernity. Our work is comprised of both independent and collaborative projects between visual artist Andrew Cornell Robinson and fashion designer Sigfrido Holguin and a rotating cadre of international artisans.
