RadScan Medical Equipment, Inc.’s patented Slicker Covers and Cushions improve medical imaging equipment sanitation and reduce maintenance time and costs for hospitals and clinics. Sanitation is improved by our proprietary vinyl films that provide an easy to clean surface and our welded seams eliminate places for contaminates to hide. Our Slicker Covers and Cushion’s patented flap system reduce maintenance by preventing fluids from getting into the inner workings of the equipment. RadScan Slicker Covers extend the life of original equipment pads and cushions, and are easy to install and do not affect normal machine operations. History of RadScan Medical Equipment, Inc... Tim Brown, creator of the Slicker, is a biomedical engineer in Flagstaff, Arizona who was constantly dealing with downtime of machines due to maintenance. To reduce the amount of downtime due to cleaning and maintenance of the machine Tim created the first CT Slicker in 1988. RadScan Medical Equipment, Inc. was formed in 1990 after Tim received his first patent for the CT Slicker series of covers produced in response to the CDC and OSHA regulations regarding HIV and Hepatitis B. With the enthusiastic acceptance of these patented covers by original equipment manufacturers and end users, the company has continued to add new models for the CT, angiography, nuclear medical, and cardiac catheter lab tables.
