The MacKillop Institute

The MacKillop Institute is a part of MacKillop Family Services, and was established to share the experience, expertise, and evidence-based programs of MacKillop Family Services with the wider community. The Institute empowers individuals and organisations with evidence-informed programs and services that promote wellbeing, resilience, and learning. Our Seasons for Growth, Stormbirds and Seasons for Healing programs aim to strengthen the social and emotional wellbeing of people who are experiencing major life changes and losses by supporting them to explore the impact of these changes on everyday life and to learn new ways to respond. Power to Kids strengthens prevention and responses to sexual exploitation, harmful sexual behaviours and dating violence for young people living in residential care. Reframing Learning and Teaching Environments (ReLATE) is a research- and evidence-informed model supporting schools to create the preconditions for improved teaching, learning and wellbeing. It empowers schools to create safe, supportive and predictable environments and enhances whole school culture. The Sanctuary model is workplace culture-change program that enables safe, non-violent environments and relationships that teach people to cope with adversity, stress and trauma. It results in measurable improved wellbeing outcomes for organisations and individuals. Together, The MacKillop Institute offers our partners first-hand experience; smart, practical solutions, tailored relationships; and cultural expertise. Collaboration and partnerships are critical to achieving our vision. By working together we can achieve greater impact and enhanced wellbeing for families, children and communities.
