Potamus Trading LLC is a Boston based broker-dealer situated on Boston's waterfront. The Firm leverages a low-latency colocated trading infrastructure to provide broker-dealer clients with a variety of execution services including algorithmic execution and algorithmic "outperformance" executions. The Firm provides liquidity to customer orders acting as a dealer. The firm specializes in developing and deploying bespoke execution solutions for broker-dealers and large traders. Why "Potamus"? The English word “hippopotamus” — “river horse” — motivated us and is derived from two Greek roots, “hippo” (horse) and “potamus” (having to do with a river, pool, or flow).
