ExAdEx-Innov is leading preclinical development of an innovative beige adipose tissue-based biotherapy against chronic metabolic diseases (NASH, Type-2 Diabetes) and obesity. ExAdEx technology is an innovative, patented process for 3D ex vivo culture of human adipose tissue, allowing for the first tissue-based therapeutic solution for obesity-associated metabolic diseases. Our technology is protected by 2 international patent families and a unique know-how coming from more than 30 years of experience in the field of obesity and stem cells and from French academic excellence (Côte d’Azur University/Institut de Biologie Valrose "Stem Cells and Differentiation" team and "Cell and Gene Therapy Unit" from the University Hospital of Nice ). We have also developed the first R&D platform of ex vivo human adipose tissues, allowing for preclinical testing on physiological and pathological models for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. ExAdEx-Innov is currently preparing a fundraising to accelerate the preclinical development of its biotherapy, with the support of PACA-Est incubator, Métropôle Nice Côte d’Azur and Eurobiomed healthtech accelerator.
