American University Kyiv (AUK) is a new private university located in Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv. Designed as an innovative world-class university, AUK is opening its doors in partnership with Arizona State University, ranked No. 1 “Most Innovative School” in the nation by U.S. News & World Report for seven consecutive years; Cintana Education, and a group of Ukrainian and international industry partners. AUK will introduce a new model for higher education and will be the first university in Ukraine and the region with American education standards, international faculty and a career-centered education approach. The university will offer bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences, Law and Design, as well as a portfolio of lifelong learning courses for the wider professional community. Most programs will be taught in English and thanks to the partnership with ASU, AUK will offer opportunities for dual degrees, accelerated master’s degrees, certificates, and immersion programs at ASU. Its first campus will be located in the historic River Port Building on the Poshtova Square along the right bank of the Dnipro River. Built in 1961 and with a student capacity of up to 1,500 people, AUK is bringing this iconic building back to its former glory, and by doing so is providing students with the opportunity to study in a beautiful historic location, equipped with the latest digitally enhanced learning features and education technology. The university plans to enroll its first students in two master’s programs and lifelong learning courses in Spring 2022 and will introduce its first bachelor’s degree programs in September 2022.
