My name is Jordan Miller. I have set up a toilet paper importing business under the name of Copy Me Pty Ltd. My aim is to use the profits from this business to put back into society by specifically helping the homeless. The name Copy Me was chosen because for years I have seen my donations being wasted here or even sent overseas without in my view seeing any noticeable difference. I hope other businesses can copy my idea of giving forward by making profits from business and seeing the results of their giving by doing the hard work yourself. This way people will not have to donate continuously (with most of the funds lost in commissions to fundraising agencies) but only once and then supporting us by also by buying our toilet paper which we can deliver directly to you (instead of buying from supermarkets) Funds will be used for supplying essentials for homeless people. Initially commencing in Brisbane we hope, with available funds, to expand to other cities eventually. Firstly we will supply toiletry packs e.g. toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrush and soap. Because it is a known fact that lack of daily hygiene for the homeless creates low self-esteem and bad health overall. Secondly, a simple thing such as a free haircut for a homeless person can lift their spirits. Thirdly some new clothes and shoes to wear. Lastly, we hope to encourage them to get into a shelter with our help. You can do your bit to help by pledging as little as the value of a cup of coffee.
