Davenport Drinks Consulting was born out of a love of all things drinks. We offer a range of services to 'bring your drink to life', be that through beautifully written tasting notes on the back label, PR, tastings or events. Before launching the company, I worked for Sainsbury’s, running the marketing and PR division within the beers, wines and spirits department. The scope of my role was wide, but aside from the day to day of dealing with journalist queries and executing the marketing plan, I was instrumental in developing their sub-brands from concept and label design to wine styles. I also helped devise an innovative and customer-friendly wine style guide. I created a consistent tone of voice to use on each of Sainsbury’s own brand back labels and wrote the back labels for every bottle of own brand beers, wines and spirits. I also created some very successful wine tastings and educational events and produced a seasonal in store drinks magazine. I like to think that I am really easy to work with, but I’m also very focussed and consumingly passionate about booze in all its facets – enjoyed responsibly of course!
