BAGFAS integrated fertilizer facility is located on the south side of Marmara Sea between Bandirma – Erdek, where Kapidag peninsula meets the land. BAGFAS has all the qualifications a publicly held corporation should have. BAGFAS provided all necessary qualities required by the Turkish Capital Markets Association since it’s founding charter. BAGFAS is a model company, not only on technological field but also on legal and social matters. The company was established in 1969 by a young industrial chemical engineer, Mr. Recep Gencer, MSc, founder of Etibank Boraks and Asitborik factories who saw the growing need of chemical fertilizers in Turkey , local farmers and businessmen. Following it’s foundation Bagfas’s shares were traded in the market. Company headquarters relocated to Istanbul back in 1978 by the unanimous decision of General Assembly.
