Första AP-fonden is one of five AP-funds which ensures stability in the Swedish national income pension system. Through long-term investments and the employees’ professionalism, Första AP-fonden aims to become a world class pension fund. Första AP-fonden has assets under management of SEK 466 billion (as per 31 December 2021) in a global portfolio consisting of equities, fixed income securities and alternative investments that include real estate, private equity funds and hedge funds. Första AP-fonden is a long-term investor and an active owner. In its role as owner, the Fund places high demands in the areas of environmental, social and corporate governance. The Fund’s mission is to manage the fund capital in such a way as to generate the greatest possible benefit for the pension system. This means that the Fund strives to deliver high long-term returns while maintaining a low level of risk for current and future pensioners.
