Urban Music Farm’s mission is first and foremost to establish new and on-going connections between local recreational musicians and vocalists from all walks of life, who are passionate about collectively making music without the constraints, pressures, or judgement of the competitive music scene. We believe the best music is music we can make together, enhancing our lives by providing opportunities for creativity, personal growth, and social connection like no other art form can. We operate as a recreational music-making junction for all levels of musicians and vocalists who are interested in exploring through collective and collaborative learning, playing, and performance opportunities various musical styles including rock, blues, funk, hip-hop, alt/country, reggae and other world music genres. It all takes place within a structured set of programs and services that cultivates and supports shared music-making experiences, connections, and community building. We value the sharing of musical interests, knowledge, and collective learning and playing experience in a fun and non-competitive environment that promotes musical creativity, exploration, experimentation and collaboration.
