They Eat Culture (TEC) is an arts organisation that take a site-responsive, quality combined arts and cross-media approach in order to be a direct intervention into the cultural life of Preston and Lancashire. TEC programmes and commissions arts and cultural work within non-traditional space and the Continental venue. Cinema Around the Corner is one of TEC's latest projects, it provided local pop-up cinema and associated events in Fishwick and St Matthew's. The project worked specifically with the groups already embedded within the community, on film programming in an area under-served in specialized/independent film exhibition and screen heritage. Other examples of past projects include Journey to the End of the World, a site specific spoken word and performance event at Preston Bus Station, and UP! an artist led upcycling skills showcase within Lancashire communities.
