Governance, Risk and Compliance professionals are responsible for many of the most important functions within organisations; playing a pivotal role in the success of any business. However, women only represent 15-20% of the governance, risk and compliance profession when including security, privacy, and audit functions. This falls far short of women’s representation across the global workforce, which in 2020 sat at around 45%. The Women in Governance, Risk and Compliance Series will look at ways of changing these statistics. According to the Global Gender Gap Report 2020, none of us will see gender parity in our lifetimes, and nor likely will many of our children. These findings show that gender parity will not be achieved for 99.5 years. We are on a mission to bring together the great and the good of Governance, Risk and Compliance to champion, celebrate and support the amazing women across the globe who are changing the way that we live and work.
