www.coppersunrise.comGreg Drejza, Keith Weaver and Mike Wehner are Copper Sunrise. Greg Drejza has been playing guitar since he was 9 years old & still has that guitar. Greg learned guitar from playing at Catholic Folk Masses on Sundays during his Catholic grammar school years. Early influences were the Dave Clark Five, Rolling Stones & the Beatles. In high school Greg continued to play lots of music: Cat Stevens, Neil Diamond, John Denver, Bread & the Eagles. Keith Weaver is originally from Newark, Delaware (Go Blue Hens!). Keith has been playing Drums since he got Mom's blessing in 6th grade to go in search of other musical instruments to play in the school’s symphonic band. Keith’s early influences were Kiss, Billy Idol & Twisted Sister, & yes, he had the hair to go with it. In high school he continued to play lots of music: Foreigner, Journey, Eagles & Mötley Crüe. Keith met his wife Deanna, in 2002 and since then she has tried to get Keith to play more often and in a group. As Copper Sunrise has evolved, and now with a Bass Player, Keith has added a Roland V-Drum kit. With space an issue at most gigs ,the Roland kit fits anywhere & can be as loud or soft as needed. Keith’s passion for music has grown stronger & he is very particular about the sound. He believes if it’s worth playing it better sound good. Mike Wehner is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin & has been playing since the early 70s. He still has the 1966 Hagstrom bass he used while playing in the High School jazz band. Formally trained on the double bass, he holds a degree in Applied Music & later went on to play for the U.S. Air Force Band in the early 80s. Today, Mike lives in the Village at Litchfield Park with his wife Stacey and daughter Lauren. His playing has remained focused on the Bass & in addition to his beloved 1966, he currently owns 4, 5, 6 , 8 string, an electric upright & fretless basses. For Copper Sunrise, he prefers his Michael Kelly, Dragonfly 5.
